programs, today announced its launch with investment banking courses.
They will offer CISI (Chartered Institute for Securities &
Investment) endorsed certified training programs designed for rewarding
careers within Investment Banking, catering to students, career changers or job
aspirants. The first campus will be launched in Mumbai and the first batch is scheduled
to begin mid September 2012. The
training will be followed by placement assistance and career preparation
support.
Imarticus Learning
has been launched considering the growing demand of relevant skill sets that are
giving a boost to vocational education. The conventional & theoretical
education imparted in India is now proving to be insufficient to keep pace with
highly dynamic business environment. In a survey conducted by Ernst
&Young, only 25% of Indian professionals are considered employable by
multinationals and this difficulty of Indian employers to fill job vacancies
has increased to 67% in 2012 (compared with 16% in 2011). There
is a dire need of professionals with practical understanding and adequate
skills to make the required contribution to the industry. Imarticus has been formed primarily to bridge
the gap between academia and industry.
Imarticus
Learning has been founded by experienced senior professionals from the
Financial Services industry. Sonya Hooja who is one of the founders has
extensive experience in strategy development and project management across
diverse industries such as financial services, education, public sector and
pharmaceuticals. She has been associated with Accenture (Management
Consulting), Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) and the erstwhile Lehman
Brothers. Sonya has an MBA from INSEAD.

In their
first phase, Imarticus will launch two of the most integral programs of the
investment banking and capital markets industry namely, Operations and
Technology. The certified Investment Banking Operations Program is a 4 month program
offering careers in Operations, Treasury and Clearing within an Investment Bank
(IB). The certified Investment Banking Technology Program is a 3 month full
time and a 6 month part time program which offers in-depth technical knowledge
of global Investment Banking, with detailed product knowledge. It includes a
technology overview, where students refresh key technical concepts and skills
The
faculty would comprise of experienced professionals from firms such as JP
Morgan, Cap Gemini, Avendus, Nomura and Citigroup. With cumulatively over 60
years of experience, the faculty is positioned to impart the best-in-class
training through innovative learning methods.
Upon
successful completion of these programs, students will receive the industry
endorsed CIBOP certification and the CISI certified IOC enabling them for a
career within the Investment Banking. Apart from the courses, The Imarticus
